PROJECTS:  All 

Brandy is a recent graduate from the Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture at the Cooper Union. She is a first-generation New Yorker of Mexican descent, born and raised in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Brandy is invested in community-centered public spaces as well as affordable housing and artistic spaces. Her personal work includes large charcoal still life drawings, ink-wash paintings, posters and digital collages.

Junior Architectural Designer— Reform Architecture
Mar 2022 - Present

  • Utilized CAD to produce construction drawings, such as architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans, elevations, and detail sheets for DOB and LPC review.
  • Surveyed residential, industrial, and commercial buildings to assess existing conditions and construction progress.
  • Created marketing renderings using Rhino and Vray for clients' presentation


Designer — Interboro Partners
June 2021 - Dec 2021

  • NYC Comprehensive Waterfront Plan, Department of City Planning -  designed illustrations and architectural drawings (urban and neighborhood plans) to highlight NYC waterfront developments and proposals.
  • South Bronx Research Newsletters, Banana Kelly - designed four environmental justice research articles for The Peel, a forthcoming newsletter by a South Bronx based non-profit.
  • South Bronx Cooling Stations, Various Clients - drafted and assembled interactive cooling installations for South Bronx residents.

Architecture Instructor — The Cooper Union
OCT 2018 - APR 2021

  • Collaboratively taught a free arts and design program to over a hundred NYC public high school students.
  • Crafted a syllabus focused on free hand drawing, architectural drafting, and model making.
  • Facilitated on and off-site events like design critiques, portfolio reviews, professional development sessions and field trips.  


Architecture Intern — RTSPC Pinnacle
Summer 2017, 2018, 2019

  • developed documents like plans, sections, and elevations throughout project phases: from design development to construction administration.
  • researched + drafted for commercial and medical facilities under principal supervision.
  • collaborated on interior design projects: FF&E selection, product layout graphics, and client presentations.
